Using A Brake Pad Spreader Is There A Trick To Mazda 3's Rear Brake Calipers? Can't Collapse It With Pad Spreader?

Is there a trick to Mazda 3's rear brake calipers? Can't collapse it with pad spreader? - using a brake pad spreader

They tried the arrow platform, bowed to use. The clips have to delete a brake cable rear parking lot, too. It seems that the caliper is stuck?

Then four small holes around the piston caliper, or a plus sign. If you have a need to be bolted to minimize these impacts.

1 from without can not get a correct diagnosis adequate compensation ... That being said ...

2, as my esteemed colleagues have said, the rear brake calipers on many vehicle models from the late need a bitch in the push-in

3e take, many truck tool sets of tools for special sizes and parts stores. You can get an inexpensive tool to all parts store for about $ 5, but not very good and bust your fingers more than anything else, but you can also "borrow" the right tool or Advance Auto Zone.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Try it with a C-clamp - in my F150 and shipping.

Ford and Mazda are married. Mazda can access the same type of Ford clamp. The pistons are to be directed inward flip of the piston, as if a screw down.

Not sure of the Mazda 3 models, but particularly from 1997 to 1999 model year with the rare option Escort equipped rear disc brakes, do the caliper pistons, like most settings, brake will not screw with the rear wheel brake with integrated clip. Mazda Protege I know the exact configuration used desribe below.

Look on the rear caliper. If there are two screws in the caliper body itself, the control line to ensure that you are. The other is that which must be removed to access the setting of the brakes. DELETE this bolt. With the right size Allen wrench, turn the plant in the clockwise Allen caliper to the caliper piston position withdrawn completely free. After reinstalling the new pads, reinstall the caliper and secure grip. Turn the adjustment clockwise until the gap between piston and pads. Replace the screw, said.

Hope this helps.
